About

Hello! I am a public historian, history writer, and historical consultant. I have written for publications including Smithsonian Magazine, Belt Magazine, The Week, and Electric Literature. I have worked as a historical consultant for museums and other community organizations.

I hold a M.A. in History from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Graduate Certificate in Public History, and a B.A. in History from Oberlin College.

I enjoy writing and speaking on the role public history plays in our everyday lives, from museums and historic sites to historical memory and memorial. My current research interests include American women’s suffrage, Black women in late 19th- and early 20th-century America, and 19th-century American reform movements. You can find my recent writing projects here.

I enjoy speaking with audiences about any of my research interests. I am currently available for virtual speaking engagements. Contact me to learn more.

I am also available for historical consulting work. Learn more about my historical consulting work here.
